في ضوء الاهتمام المتزايد الذي توليه جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا في اليمن لتطوير الموارد البشرية في مجتمعنا المحلي في مجال التعليم العالي، والذي يوفر سنويًا للمجتمع كوادر مؤهلة ومتخصصة، تم افتتاح جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا - فرع حضرموت في العام الدراسي 2000/2001م، بدءًا بنظام التعليم عن بُعد في مدينة المكلا، والذي بدأ بسبع تخصصات: (الدراسات الإسلامية، اللغة العربية، التاريخ، الإعلام، الشريعة والقانون، المحاسبة وإدارة الأعمال). في العام 2002/2003م، تم افتتاح قسم المحاسبة (نظام منتظم)، ثم انتقل مقر الفرع إلى منطقة البويش. في العام الدراسي 2003/2004، تم فتح تخصص في التسويق (التعليم عن بعد). في العام 2004/2005، تم فتح تخصص: ((القرآن وعلومه وعلم الاجتماع))، وفي العام 2005/2006، تم فتح التخصصات: ((علم النفس - التجارة الدولية - الإدارة المالية - إدارة الموارد البشرية - ثم تم فتح جميع تخصصات نظام التعليم عن بعد، والتي بلغت 20 تخصصات)).

Hadhramout University of Science and Technology has paid great attention to the practical aspect of academic education. It has given it the utmost attention by equipping a group of computer labs with the latest means and specifications to facilitate the acquisition of practical skills by its students with the comfort of learning and modern technology.
It provides high-spec computers from the latest versions of computers in the world of computers and provides them with a high-speed Internet network to meet the educational and training requirements in academic education and encourage the scientific research process among its students. It is distinguished by its ability and speed of performance in operating the specialized application and training programs provided with it to serve the academic specialization courses at the university.
Library
The libraries were established with the establishment of the university in 1994 AD and have since sought to be the first to possess everything new in the service of the educational and academic field and the continuous pursuit of providing sources and containers of information in all its types and forms. The university libraries include more than 90 thousand sources of information in various fields of science and knowledge. These sources vary between books, periodicals and CDs. The libraries also have a computerized program that serves all technical works from entering book data, research and lending. We are currently seeking in the library administration to establish an electronic library containing many global databases. From here, I invite all faculty members to visit the library regularly and urge students to benefit from its holdings and view what is new to develop their scientific and cultural knowledge. The role of the Quality Assurance Unit in the branch is summarized as follows:
Communicate with the Quality Assurance Department at the head office to find out everything that is updated regarding the evaluation process, including standards, indicators, and procedures, and circulate it to all scientific departments in the branch.
Improving the culture of quality in the field of evaluation and performance improvement as part of its role in education in the field of quality and accreditation in general.
Annual evaluation of the scientific departments: according to what is described in the specified guide.
Evaluate the faculty members (full-time) in the branch in coordination with the scientific departments on a quarterly basis.
Comprehensive self-assessment of scientific departments: As described in the specified manual.
Contribute to directing and supporting the implementation of corrective plans.
Contribute to determining the training needs of faculty members and academic leaders in the branch based on the results of evaluation of departments and faculty members in coordination with scientific departments and submitting them to the branch management.
Providing the necessary training for the individuals carrying out the evaluation process and those concerned with quality work in the branch, whether in the administration itself or in the scientific departments, in accordance with the management plan.

مختبرات
جامعة حضرموت للعلوم والتكنولوجيا أولت اهتمامًا كبيرًا للجوانب العملية في التعليم الأكاديمي. وقد منحتها أقصى درجات الاهتمام من خلال تجهيز مجموعة من مختبرات الحاسوب بأحدث الوسائل والمواصفات لتسهيل اكتساب المهارات العملية لطلابها مع راحة التعلم والتكنولوجيا الحديثة. إنها توفر أجهزة حاسوب عالية المواصفات من أحدث إصدارات الحواسيب في عالم الحواسيب وتوفر لها شبكة إنترنت عالية السرعة لتلبية المتطلبات التعليمية والتدريبية في التعليم الأكاديمي وتشجيع عملية البحث العلمي بين طلابها. وهي تتميز بقدرتها وسرعة أدائها في تشغيل التطبيقات المتخصصة وبرامج التدريب المقدمة معها لخدمة دورات التخصص الأكاديمي في الجامعة.
مكتبة
تأسست المكتبات مع تأسيس الجامعة في عام 1994 ميلادي ومنذ ذلك الحين سعت لتكون الأولى في امتلاك كل ما هو جديد في خدمة المجال التعليمي والأكاديمي والسعي المستمر لتوفير مصادر وحاويات المعلومات بجميع أنواعها وأشكالها. تضم مكتبات الجامعة أكثر من 90 ألف مصدر للمعلومات في مجالات العلوم والمعرفة المختلفة. تتنوع هذه المصادر بين الكتب والدوريات والأقراص المدمجة. كما أن المكتبات تحتوي على برنامج حاسوبي يخدم جميع الأعمال الفنية من إدخال بيانات الكتب والبحوث والإعارة. نحن نسعى حالياً في إدارة المكتبة إلى إنشاء مكتبة إلكترونية تحتوي على العديد من قواعد البيانات العالمية. ومن هنا، أدعو جميع أعضاء هيئة التدريس لزيارة المكتبة بانتظام وأحث الطلاب على الاستفادة من مقتنياتها والاطلاع على ما هو جديد لتطوير معرفتهم العلمية والثقافية. نأمل أن تجدوا كل ما تبحثون عنه وكونوا مطمئنين أن جميع تعليقاتكم واستفساراتكم ستكون موضع ترحيب ورعاية.
مهام أمين المكتبة في فرع حضرموت:
• المكتبة مفتوحة يوميًا للطلاب والأكاديميين والموظفين وزوار المكتبة من خارج الفرع.
• رتب الكتب والمكتبة كل يوم.
• إعارة الكتب المطلوبة للطلاب وأعضاء هيئة التدريس والموظفين وفقًا لنظام المكتبة المعمول به.
• تابع عودة الكتب المستعارة.
• مراقبة باب المكتبة أثناء دخول الزوار وخروجهم من المكتبة.
• تصوير الكتب والدوريات والأطروحات الجامعية لرواد المكتبة بناءً على التحميل من قبل الأقسام الأكاديمية.
• طلب الاشتراك في المجلات والدوريات بناءً على تقديم الأقسام العلمية.
• إدخال الكتب الجديدة إلى نظام المكتبة، وتصنيفها، وترقيمها، وختمها.
• تقديم أسماء المستعيرين المتأخرين في إعادة الكتب.
• إنشاء لافتات وتعليمات المكتبة.
• تقديم مقترحات لتطوير المكتبة.
• فرز الكتب الممزقة وتوصية بحل مناسب لها.
• اقتراح شراء الكتب بالتنسيق مع رؤساء الأقسام.
إجراءات القبول والتسجيل - فرع حضرموت
المستندات المطلوبة لخريجي المدارس الثانوية
• الشهادة الأصلية للثانوية العامة أو ما يعادلها، مصدقة من الجهات المعنية، مع نسخة مصدقة، وترجمة وتصديق الشهادة إذا لم تكن باللغة العربية.
• نسخة من بطاقة الهوية الوطنية أو بطاقة العائلة أو جواز السفر.
• صور الصفحات الثمانية الأولى من جواز السفر (لغير اليمنيين)، بشرط أن يكون جواز السفر ساري المفعول لأكثر من سنة ويشير إلى الإقامة في اليمن لمدة لا تقل عن سنة واحدة.
• 4 صور شخصية حديثة، بحجم (4x6)، مع خلفية بيضاء
إذا كانت شهادة الثانوية العامة من خارج اليمن، يجب أن تكون مصدقة (الأصل + نسخة)
1. من وزارة التعليم في البلد الذي أصدر الشهادة.
2. من وزارة الخارجية في الدولة التي أصدرت الشهادة.
3. من سفارة جمهورية اليمن في الدولة التي أصدرت الشهادة.

2. معادلته في وزارة التربية والتعليم اليمنية.
متطلبات القبول والتسجيل (البكالوريوس):
1. تقبل الجامعة حاملي شهادة الثانوية العامة أو ما يعادلها وفقًا للنسب المحددة من قبل وزارة التعليم العالي.
2. يتعهد الطالب بالالتزام بأنظمة وتعليمات وقواعد الجامعة.
