The University of Science and Technology organizes a workshop to develop academic performance evaluation standards.

On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, the Deanship of Development and Quality Assurance at the University of Science and Technology – Main Center Aden organized a workshop entitled: “Developing Academic Performance Evaluation Standards”. The workshop was attended by: the University Presidency, the Deanship of Development and Quality Assurance, the Deans of Colleges, the Directors of Branches and their deputies, the Heads of Academic Departments in the main center and branches, along with quality officials. At the opening of the workshop, Dr. Abdulghani Hamid, Acting President of the University, welcomed the participants, stressing the importance of developing evaluation standards to ensure continuous improvement and to benefit from leading regional and international experiences in this field. Ms. Nawara Hussein, the Measurement and Evaluation Officer at the Deanship of Development and Quality Assurance, also reviewed the proposed evaluation areas and criteria and their relative weights after the development process. This was followed by in-depth discussions by the participants regarding the developed standards for evaluating faculty performance and the standards for evaluating academic departments, which contribute to enhancing the quality of academic performance and raising the efficiency of the educational and research process at the university. The workshop witnessed constructive interventions and discussions that enriched the process of developing standards and contributed to formulating common visions that reflect the university’s needs and quality requirements. This workshop comes as part of the University of Science and Technology’s commitment to continuous development and improvement, and its endeavor to achieve quality standards and academic accreditation in all its academic programs and activities. #University_of_Science_and_Technology
