Organizing a training course on medical laboratory errors

The Department of Health Sciences at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Science and Technology – Main Center, Aden, organized a training course on Saturday, August 30, 2025, entitled: “Medical Laboratory Errors: Types, Causes, Patient Impact, and Prevention Strategies” “Medical Laboratory Errors: Types, Causes, Impact on Patients, and Ways to Avoid Them,” presented by Dr. Ali Nasser Al-Yafei. The course targeted students and graduates of medical laboratory sciences, specialists in medical laboratories, health workers, and those interested in quality assurance and control of laboratory processes. The course covered several topics, most notably: types of laboratory errors (pre-analysis, during analysis, and post-analysis), the main reasons for errors occurring in laboratories, the impact of errors on patients and medical diagnosis, methods of prevention and error reduction, the role of quality and process control (Quality Control & Quality Assurance), in addition to practical and applied case studies. The course was distinguished by its accredited training materials, certificates of attendance for participants, and practical applications and real-world examples from the laboratory environment. It also provided an opportunity for discussion and the exchange of experiences among the participants, who expressed their appreciation for the course and thanked the university and the instructor. #University_of_Science_and_Technology
