In the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research: Organizing a workshop to develop the Bachelor of Information Technology program

On Tuesday morning, April 29, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering and Computers, in conjunction with the Deanship of Development and Quality Assurance at the University of Science and Technology – Main Center Aden, organized a workshop to develop the Bachelor of Information Technology program. The workshop was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for the Educational Affairs Sector, Professor Khalid Omar Baslim, the Director General of Private Higher Education Institutions at the Ministry, Associate Professor Dr. Lotfi Khanbari, representatives from the labor market, technical experts, academics, a number of graduates in the field of information technology, and a group of fourth-level students in the Bachelor of Information Technology program. The following individuals from the university administration attended the workshop: Assistant President for Academic Affairs Dr. Muammar Al-Qutaibi, Assistant President for Student Affairs, Community Centers and Branches Dr. Munir Al-Abadi, Dean of Development and Quality Assurance Dr. Mahmoud Al-Rumaima, Dean of the College of Engineering and Computers Dr. Nasr Al-Saqqaf, and Head of the Department of Computers and Information Technology Dr. Walid Al-Arshi. The workshop participants discussed the mission of the Bachelor of Information Technology program, the program’s objectives, learning outcomes, and graduate specifications. The workshop concluded with a discussion of the program’s study plan. This workshop embodied the interest of the University of Science and Technology - Aden in improving its study programs and making them compatible with academic accreditation standards.
