The Mechatronics Department is conducting a training course in PLC.

The Mechatronics Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering and Computers at the University of Science and Technology - Aden Main Center conducted a training course in PLC, during the period from October 2024 to January 2025, with 20 training hours, for 22 male and female students, in the Mechatronics Laboratory at the university. The course aimed to provide an understanding of PLC fundamentals, develop PLC programming skills, and offer practical application. It included an introduction to PLCs and their importance in industrial control, an interactive session to discuss their uses in various industries, followed by a workshop showcasing PLC components (input/output units, processor, etc.), a theoretical and practical demonstration of PLC programming, practical student applications, and a case study analyzing an existing industrial control system. The session concluded with a presentation of the final projects prepared by the students, and an evaluation session to discuss the achievements of the students and the challenges they faced.
