Holding an introductory seminar on the field of therapeutic nutrition and diets

On Sunday, August 3, 2025, the University of Science and Technology – Main Center Aden held an introductory seminar on the specialization of “Therapeutic Nutrition and Diets”, under the slogan: “Your Health is in Your Food”, presented by Professor Sumaya Qutbi – an international expert in the field of therapeutic nutrition and diets. The seminar targeted high school graduates and those interested in health, prevention, and proper nutrition. It aimed to introduce the role of nutritionists in disease prevention and treatment, highlight academic pathways and career opportunities in hospitals, clinics, and the community, and offer professional advice on how to launch a successful career as a nutritionist. The seminar included an overview of the specialty and its role in the medical field, and also addressed the topic of energy and food, and essential nutrients. The seminar concluded with the students being taken to the university's nutrition laboratory and clinic, where they were introduced to the advanced equipment prepared for this specialization, in addition to an interactive question and answer session. This seminar comes as part of the university’s efforts to promote awareness of different scientific disciplines, which contributes to guiding students to choose appropriate scientific and professional paths that meet the needs of the labor market. #University of Science and Technology
