Discussion of the graduation projects of the third batch in the Department of Architectural Engineering

The Department of Architectural Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering and Computers at the University of Science and Technology - Main Center Aden, held the public discussion of the graduation projects of the third batch of students in the Department of Architectural Engineering, over two days, Sunday and Monday - May 25 and 26, 2025, in the Faculty of Engineering and Computers building.
The graduation projects were discussed under the supervision of the academic staff, namely: Dr. Abdul Nasser Al-Qadri, Head of Department, Dr. Hassan Ali, Dr. Fatoum Al-Naqeeb, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Haddad. Two distinguished external examiners were also present: Dr. Shawqi Ibrahim and Dr. Enas Shaqra.
Twelve graduation projects were discussed, ranging from the design of cultural centers, treatment and rehabilitation centers, scientific and technical colleges, academies, sports and entertainment clubs, hotels, museums, government and residential complexes, tourist cities, fishermen’s villages, and animal farms.
The committee conducted a public discussion and evaluated the projects submitted by the students. Interactive display screens were used for the first time in presenting the graduation projects, enabling the students to present their projects in this distinctive way, which was well-received by the discussion committee and the attendees.
After listening to a detailed explanation of the content of each project, the discussion committee praised these projects, and emphasized their excellence in accuracy and objectivity, in addition to their contribution to serving the community.
Through their graduation projects, the students demonstrated a promising level of intellectual and professional maturity, and design skills that promise a bright future in the field of architecture.
The Department of Architecture held this discussion as part of the department’s commitment to developing architectural cadres capable of critical and creative thinking, and of facing contemporary architectural challenges with awareness and responsibility.
The discussion was attended by the Dean of the College of Engineering and Computers, Dr. Nasr Al-Saqqaf, a number of heads and faculty members of the college, and the students’ parents.
