Holding an introductory seminar on the field of medical laboratories

On Thursday, August 7, 2025, the University of Science and Technology – Main Center Aden held an introductory seminar on the field of medical laboratories, entitled: “Medical Laboratories – The Hidden Mind of the Health System,” presented by Dr. Nazih Al-Abd – Medical Laboratory Specialist. The seminar targeted high school graduates and those interested in the world of medical analysis and diagnosis. It aimed to introduce the vital role of laboratory specialists in detecting diseases and saving lives, in addition to exploring the specialization from within through field visits to the college's laboratories and learning about its advanced equipment. The symposium program included an introductory opening session on the field of medical laboratories and its most prominent areas, followed by a field tour of the college's laboratories (blood lab, chemistry lab, microbiology lab), where a simplified practical application was carried out inside the laboratories on some basic tests. The seminar concluded with an open discussion to answer participants' questions and provide professional advice on the most important skills required for the health sector job market. #University of Science and Technology
