A scientific lecture on medical sign language for dental students

Under the auspices of the University of Science and Technology, Main Center, Aden, and in partnership with the Dental Association, the Student Affairs Department and the Department of Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery held an introductory lecture on Sunday, October 23, 2022, entitled: “Medical Sign Language on how to deal with deaf and mute patients with disabilities,” which is implemented by the Rumooz Foundation for Development in governmental and non-governmental institutions, and was conducted by trainer Samer Hawash. At the beginning, Dr. Samah Al-Amri, Head of the Department of Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery, welcomed the attendees and explained the importance of holding these scientific community events, which aim to teach students how to deal with different segments of society. The event also included a number of active participations in the lecture from the students in attendance. The event was attended by Dr. Nashwan Al-Afifi, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at Aden University, and Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Nakhbi, Head of the Student Affairs Department at the university.
