142 applicants in Aden: The university president inaugurates the annual competitive scholarship competition for memorizers of the Holy Quran (boys and girls) for the academic year 2025-2026

The Acting President of the University of Science and Technology, Professor Dr. Abdul Ghani Hamid Ahmed, inaugurated, at the university’s main headquarters in Aden, on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, the annual competitive scholarship competition for memorizers of the Holy Quran (boys and girls) for the academic year 2025-2026. The launch of the competition was attended by the Assistant President of the University for Student Affairs, Dr. Muammar Al-Qutaibi. During the launch of the competition, the university president expressed his pride and appreciation for this group of memorizers of the Book of God, urging them to strive and persevere to reach the highest levels of worldly and otherworldly success, noting the university’s keenness to organize these scholarships annually in support of memorizers of the Holy Quran. For their part, the memorizers of the Holy Quran expressed their gratitude to the University of Science and Technology for providing them with this special opportunity to pursue their university studies at the university known for its efficiency and excellence, stressing that these scholarships constitute a strong incentive for them to achieve academic success and reflect an honorable image of themselves. The university had previously announced the opening of registration for these competitive scholarships dedicated to male and female memorizers of the Holy Quran, at the university’s main center in Aden, and its branches (Hadramawt, Taiz City, Marib), where a large number of memorizers of the Book of God applied for these scholarships, as the number of applicants at the main center in Aden reached 142 male and female memorizers for all university disciplines, and the university received them, before starting to conduct the scholarship tests today according to precise criteria to select those deserving of the scholarships. It is worth mentioning that the university pays great attention to the memorizers of the Holy Quran by adopting competitive scholarships that have become an annual tradition of the university, in appreciation of the memorizers of the Book of God, and as an initiative to support them in their academic and professional journey, and to achieve their future aspirations. #University_of_Science_and_Technology
