Graduation ceremony for the academic year 2024-2025

Under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Khaled Ahmed Al-Wasabi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and under the slogan: “We are proud of our graduates,” the University of Science and Technology – Main Center Aden, held on Sunday morning, October 19, 2025, the graduation ceremony for the academic year 2024–2025 for its students in all disciplines, amidst an atmosphere full of joy and pride in this scientific achievement. The ceremony – which was held in the Saba Palace Hall in the capital, Aden – was attended by Dr. Mazen Al-Jafri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for the Scholarship Sector, Mr. Abdul Bari Ahmed Saeed, Director General of Certification at the Ministry, Dr. Lotfi Qais, Director General of Governmental Higher Education Institutions, and a number of presidents of governmental and private universities. The following attended from the university: Prof. Dr. Abdul Ghani Hamid Ahmed, Acting President of the University, Assistants to the President of the University: Dr. Fatima Qahtan, Dr. Muammar Al-Qutaibi, Dr. Munir Al-Abadi, Deans of Colleges, a number of faculty members, in addition to the parents of graduating students. The ceremony began with a beautiful recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech delivered by Professor Dr. Abdul Ghani Hamid Ahmed, Acting President of the University, in which he welcomed the attendees and expressed his happiness at the graduation of a new batch of university students, extending his warmest congratulations to the graduates and their families, and calling on the graduates to be ambassadors for the university in the fields of work and giving. Following that, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Mazen Al-Jafri, delivered the Ministry’s speech, in which he congratulated the graduating students, praising the role of the University of Science and Technology in graduating qualified personnel who contribute to national development and community service. The ceremony included a documentary report highlighting the university’s most important milestones and achievements over more than three decades. The ceremony included various artistic performances that expressed the joy of graduation, and won the admiration and approval of those present. At the end of the ceremony, the graduates were honored and certificates were distributed, amidst a wave of applause in which feelings of joy and pride were mixed.
