Field trip for architecture students to the Sultan Al-Abdali Palace First-level students in the Department of Architectural Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering and Computers at the University of Science and Technology - Main Center Aden carried out a field visit to the Sultan Al-Abdali Palace in Crater, Aden. The aim of this activity is to develop the artistic sense and aesthetic taste of the students, develop the students’ skills, train them to master freehand drawing in practical reality, and link the theoretical aspect of their studies with the practical aspect. This location was also chosen for the purpose of using an environment that helps students develop artistic sense and aesthetic taste, and enables the student to develop the skill of transferring shadow and light from real life, and to train the student’s eye on proportion and ratio and transferring things from reality to paper. The result of this descent was the students’ creation of numerous paintings, which conveyed the students’ sense and appreciation of beauty, and their correct use of shadow and light.
