Organizing a specialized scientific session to introduce the field of mechatronics

On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, the University of Science and Technology – Main Center Aden organized a specialized scientific session to introduce the field of mechatronics, entitled: “Mechatronics: Engineering of the Future”. The session targeted high school graduates and those interested in modern technologies and robotics, to introduce them to the mechatronics specialization, which combines mechanics, electronics, programming and intelligent control systems. The session covered the definition of mechatronics, the reason behind its designation as the "field of the future," and highlighted its applications in robotics, smart cars, medicine, the Internet of Things, and control systems. The session also addressed embedded systems within mechatronics, as well as the integration of mechanics and renewable energy in the field. The session also touched on the academic path of this specialization, the job opportunities it offers in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries, in addition to reviewing success stories and advice from experts and graduates. Participants in the session had the opportunity to ask their questions directly to the experts, and to receive a free electronic booklet about the specialization and the academic roadmap, with links to foundational courses in mechatronics. #University_of_Science_and_Technology
