For the second day in a row, the President of the University of Science and Technology – Aden continues his participation in the General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities in Kuwait.

On Thursday, April 24, 2025, Professor Dr. Abdul Ghani Hamid Ahmed, President of the University of Science and Technology - Main Center Aden, continued his participation in the General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities in its fifty-seventh session, which is currently being held at the International University in the sisterly State of Kuwait, and whose work began yesterday, Wednesday, April 23, 2025, and concludes today, Thursday, with the participation of a group of high-level Arab figures, university presidents and representatives of Arab and international organizations. The conference activities began today with a dialogue session on university rankings, with the participation of Professor Dr. Essam Khamis – Arab University Ranking, Professor Dr. Anas Rateb Al-Saoud, Executive Director of the Association of Arab Universities: Arab University Ranking, Dr. Ashwin Fernandes – Executive Director of AMESA at QS, and Professor Dr. Ghassan Awad, President of Abu Dhabi University – United Arab Emirates. This session was moderated by the Executive Director of the Association of Arab Universities, Professor Dr. Anas Rateb Al-Saoud. The conference program then includes three introductory presentations. The first presentation will address the Arab Platform for Digital Education and will be presented by Dr. Ayman Ghoneim, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy. The second presentation will address AACSP accreditation and will be presented by Professor Ihsan Zakri, the accreditation representative who holds the position of Vice President – ​​Europe, Middle East and Africa region. In the third presentation, the Executive Director of the Association of Arab Universities, Professor Dr. Anas Rateb Al-Saoud, will review the institutions, councils, centers and associations affiliated with the Association of Arab Universities. Following that, a special session is held for university presidents or their representatives, followed by a discussion of the items referred to the General Conference and the approval of the recommendations, then the distribution of membership certificates to the universities that have recently joined the Arab Federation of Universities, and the conference concludes with the presentation of shields. Tomorrow, Friday, has been designated as a tourism day, during which visits will be organized for the delegations participating in the conference to a number of prominent historical and cultural landmarks in Kuwait, while the participating delegations will leave for their countries next Saturday. #University_of_Science_and_Technology
