Conducting a scientific training course on “Nutritional Care (NCP)”

On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, the Department of Health Sciences at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Science and Technology - Main Center, Aden, organized a specialized practical course on the Nutrition Care Process, presented by Professor Sumaya Qutbi. The course targeted graduates of nutrition and clinical nutrition specialties, and aimed to understand the four steps of the NCP framework, and how to apply standard nutritional care in clinical practice. It also aimed to improve patient outcomes through organized nutritional management, and to enhance professional knowledge and skills in the field of nutritional care. The course topics included assessing nutritional status and methods for measuring the patient’s nutritional status, nutritional diagnosis to identify nutritional problems using the PES statement, nutritional intervention which includes planning and implementing patient-oriented care, follow-up and evaluation to monitor results and improve the quality of care, in addition to clinical case studies highlighting the practical applications of the NCP framework. The course was distinguished by providing scientific and practical applied content, granting participants accredited attendance certificates, and also provided an opportunity to interact and discuss with experts in the field. At the end of the course, the participants expressed their gratitude to the university administration and the esteemed trainer, emphasizing how much they benefited from the course. #University_of_Science_and_Technology
